Merry Christmas!

I am excited about Christmas! Christmas always gives me this warm fuzzy feeling on the inside.  I am not just saying that either, I love Christmas!  Even though J and M are not going to be able to be with me on Christmas Eve {for the third year in a row} I am excited to be able to give them their gifts!  Their eyes lighting up and seeing their face is what I look forward to.  Of course since I am pretty sure I got each of them something they are going to love the anticipation is even more intense!
This time of year also makes me think of family traditions and foods that we can make each year.   On Pinterest I have a Recipes to Try folder.  In my perusing I found a recipe for Christmas Trees.  I have never made rice krispy Christmas Trees before and thought it would be fun.  It was!  I used parchment paper to shape the trees and then had frosting all over my hands as I tried to put on the m&m's and stars; the only things missing were J and M.  Now if they are edible still on Monday.......

Logan

Babies are so precious!  This little guy included.  He was so fantastic, and yes he was fantastic while he was wide awake!  We just kept him all cozy wrapped in his blanket and next to mom.

Insights and Inspiration

Siblings.  You can't live with them and you realize that you don't want to live without them.  They are the best friends who can never break up with you.  You might not be able to pick your family, but your family is stuck with you too.

A Special Thank You

There are rare moments in life that can be called 'life defining'.  Jen asking me to take pictures of Bennet and Ainsley are definitely one of them.  I don't know if she realizes what a blessing it was for me to be able to photograph her and Grant's girls; but taking pictures of those girls made me realize that I could.  It helped motivate me to pursue something that had been on my heart to do.  I could never say thank you enough to my friend for sharing with me a half hour or forty five minutes or hour of time with the blessings that God has given them.

The Day of Love

Just saw a comment on Instagram 'why I hate Valentines Day'.....what is there to hate?  Valentines Day can be anything you make of it.  What are some fun ways you spent the day of love with your special someone?  A winter picnic, a snowball fight, a snowman with a hidden gift, a spur of the moment trip, making dinner together, a special night together, or homemade valentines. Whether you get a gift or a special kiss I hope you got to spend the day of love with someone that means the world to you.
